Organisation
Statkraft is organised in five business areas and three staff areas.
Our business areas:

Nordics is responsible for development, ownership, and operation of power plants across Norway and Sweden. It also manages Statkraft's ownership interests in other companies in the Nordics.

Europe is responsible for development, ownership and operation of power plants in Europe outside of the Nordic countries, e.g. hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas power as well as grid service and battery assets. BA Europe also has group responsibility for offshore wind and hydrogen.

International is responsible for development, ownership and operation of all power plants outside Europe, and comprises hydropower, wind power and solar power.

Markets is responsible for commercially optimising and developing Statkraft’s flexible generation portfolio as well as providing market access, supporting investment decisions and securing long-term value through global hedging strategies.

Technology and Project Delivery is responsible for developing best-practise safety, and operations and maintenance standards, as well as cost-effective delivery of construction projects, procurement services and IT deliveries. The business area comprises Statkraft’s joint technology, procurement, IT, HSS and project delivery expertise.
Our staff areas:

The CFO organisation is responsible for optimising financial management, driving Group performance, allocating resources efficiently, and managing risk.

Corporate Development is responsible for the long-term strategic development and positioning of Statkraft. Responsibilities comprises innovation and new business development, as well as the group functions corporate strategy, public affairs, corporate office, and communication and marketing. In addition, the asset owner responsibilities for the district heating, EV-charging and biofuels businesses sits with this area, including managing related divestment processes.

People, Organisation and Sustainability area comprise the group functions corporate HR, governance, compliance and sustainability.
The Head of Corporate Audit reports functionally to the Board of Directors and administratively to the CEO. This function is not a member of the corporate management and participates in the CFO management team.
Statkraft AS is the parent company of multiple subsidiaries, and is fully owned by Statkraft SF, which is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.
